Oh Jesus! I’m in LOVE with the Keurig Coffee Brewer and Green Mountain Coffee. Lawd, lawd, lawd! Today was friends and family day at my mom’s church. It was a loverly (yes, I meant to say loveRly) service in their new building. After service was over, we went to the bookstore for coffee. I observed this weird looking brewer and even weirder way of brewing the coffee. You put the little container of coffee with the seal still on it into the brewer, close the top and press brew. Voila! A FAN.FREAKIN.TA.STIC cup of Southern Pecan (oh heck yes!) coffee brewed by the cup. Seriously??? Seriously!
Oh Lawd! I’m in coffee heaven. I NEED this Keurig in my life. Who’s gonna buy me one?
One of my teacher friends at the school where I work is a foodie just like me. We’re always discussing food, cookware, cooking shows and the like. Friday, I was sitting in my office and her voice rang over the intercom, “Ms. Vik, I have some homemade pumpkin cheesecake for you.” Nevermind the pile of work I have sitting in front of me, I’m THERE – most urgently, of course. I brought it back to my office and at the first bite, it was transformed into pumpkin cheesecake heaven. Oh my, it was delicious. Not too sweet, not to pumpkin-y – just right. Oh, and the crust was buttery and sweet. I didn’t ask but I’m sure it was graham cracker. Unfortunately, I ate it so quickly that I was unable to take a pic. The pic I’ve posted came from ryanscuttingedge.com. It looks about like Kelley’s did before I DESTROYED it.

I’m craving fries right now. And not just any fries…..Red Robin garlic parm fries. Doesn’t that just sound good? I mean really, can you go wrong with garlic AND parm? Uh….I think NOT! Hot, garlicky (and I do mean GARLICKY) goodness. These are not “date” fries by any stretch of the imagination. There will be no vampires knocking down your door for about a week. Clearly, I care nothing about that. Nothing keeps me away from my garlic fries.

My snack of the week – Popcorn Indiana Smoked Cheddar Cheese Kettlecorn. Who knew popcorn could taste so good? Well, I’ve always known, actually. LOL! Light, airy and crispy with a sweet, smoky and creamy taste. Popcorn – seriously????
